What do playing the piano and designing a brand have in common?
I used to play the piano when I was a late teenager. I was almost fanatical about it. It was a way to channel my emotions and I would get into a state of flow, playing for hours losing sense of time and self: the ultimate creative sensation.
And now, after more than 20 years, I am playing again. Having this beautiful piano in our home is like having an old friend back into my life.
Playing the piano again has taken me back to the same sensations as then, being in the flow and creative expression.
And it affects my work as a designer today, opening me up to a creative flow that is easier and more playful and adding more joy to life.
I believe that playfulness, going with the flow and creativity should be part of a business and a brand. To engage and share it with your audience. To enhance your brand experience. To make life more fun. We so need that in this world.
