What is your Brandstory? Do you know? Storytelling is a very powerful way to help shape your brand. The designing of brands is a form of visual storytelling. Here are 3 steps that will help you define your story and your ideal client’s story.
1. Understand who you are.
The first step to creating a brand is to find out what your brandstory is. It is important to be clear about who you are, what you do and why you do it, before you can decide on a brand identity or design strategy for your brand. So, what is your story?
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose” – Dolly Parton
2. Know your ideal client.
By defining your ideal client (a.k.a. target group), you will be able to focus your branding on what would speak to them and attract the right audience for your brand.
“When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion.” — Dale Carnegie
3. Start visualising!
A wonderful way to visualise your brandstory is by creating moodboards. Start with collecting images for your brand. These can be found anywhere, on the internet, in magazines or taken with a camera by yourself. Or you can even draw them if that’s your thing. I myself am a big fan of Pinterest.
