Putting my own brand identity on stage.
I thought it would be a good idea to show off my own brand this time. I mean, as a brand project, the way I present my clients’ designs. Funny how it is so different when it is your own brand identity we’re talking aobut. Unlike working with my clients, creating my own brand has been a long long development over years. It is so much harder to translate your own vision into something visual.
But I’m happy… I have nailed it. For now.
Pearls are a girls best friend.
The inspiration for my work comes from my clients and their brand story. The way I see it, every brand and every story has these little pearls that are waiting to be discovered and turned into a beautiful pieces of jewellery to be worn on stage.
When I see little pearls of uniqueness stand out, I start forming a visual story in my head.
What I discovered is that my design process is very much like taking a story on stage in a theatre.
The design process:
1. Uncover the pearls hidden in a brand’s story.
2. Transform those pearls into a visual identity: dressing up for the part;
3. Get on stage and show off your brand: with a strategic website, printed materials or video, you can attract and connect with your audience. This is showtime!
