Shipping & Return Policy

 

All items are made to order in Montreal, Canada so keep in mind production times need to be added to shipping times to best estimate the arrival date for your order!

  • Silk Scarves: 8 days
  • Polyester Scarves: 6 days
  • Notebooks, stationary 8 days

 

Shipping Policy

Please note shipping time is independent from production time. Products are produced in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and shipped from Canada and from Champlain, New York in the USA.

Estimated shipping delivery times:

USA: Usually 2-6 business days to arrive once shipped.

Canada: usually take 2-13 business days

World: International orders take 10-30 business days, but may be delayed at the border of the destination country as they go through custom.

 

International shipping:

Unfortunately sending goods by airmail or courier service over the world is expensive. This is a small and independent shop which makes shipping more expensive than when you order from a big and commercial shop. Please be assured that we always do our best to find the most cost effective and efficient way to get your order to you.

International shipments may incur customs fees. For each country the customs policy is different, and the fee is usually based on a variety of factors like weight, value, and size.

We do not take responsibility for customs fees.

 

Order never arrived:

If your order didn’t end up arriving, be sure to let us know!

First check your shipping confirmation and check that you had entered the correct address. If the address was incorrect, though we’d be happy to send you another order to the correct address, it will have to be at your cost.

If the shipping address was correct, get in touch with us at shop@katrienriks.com noting your order number. We’ll see what can be done.

 

Who do you use for shipping? 

Canada: Canada Post (Expedited service). If the package is very small (eg. A single cell phone case), we will ship with a stamp, which keeps your shipping costs down.

USA: USPS. Orders from within the USA are shipped 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Please note that orders shipped by courier may be subject to duties, fees or taxes levied by the destination country and/or shipping company. We are is not responsible for these additional charges. To find out what the possible fees are, please contact the local postal service or customs agency.

World: We ship internationally with IMEX. If the order is high value, we will use a courier (DHL, Aramex).

International orders are shipped 3 times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

 

Will my order have a tracking number?

Most Canada and all US bound orders will have tracking. You will receive a shipping notification when your order has been shipped, which will include the tracking number, if applicable.

For orders valued under 100$, you can choose to ship with tracking for an extra fee or without tracking. You will see the option to Add tracking upgrade when you checkout. This option is not available for integrations. If you want to add tracking to an order coming to us by an integration, please contact us.

International orders valued at or over 100$ will be shipped with tracking automatically. Depending on the value of the order, it may be shipped with USPS or a courier, such as DHL.

Returns policy

 

We gladly accept returns and exchanges.

Just contact us within: 14 days of delivery

Ship items back to us within: 20 days of delivery

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Refunds:

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-10 business days.

Late or missing refunds:

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at shop@katrienriks.com.

Exchanges:

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at shop@katrienriks.com.

Shipping:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Damaged items:

The last thing we want is for you to be stuck with a damaged item. If it arrives to you damaged, then please get in touch with us within a week’s time at shop@katrienriks.com.
