Designing for interiors is like designing an experience. Spaces you move through, the colours, patterns and objects that surround you, are all part of your living story.

Designing interiors, fabrics and wallpapers, is part of the range of my design work. With a background in textiles and interior decoration, I have experience in creating interiors for restaurants, shops and offices, textile design and styling and designing interior concepts.

Selected Projects

Lunchroom Sweet Mrs. Brown.

Sweet Mrs. Brown is a local lunchroom, offering breakfasts, lunch, coffee & cake, in one of Amsterdam’s residential areas.

The aim was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, combining the homely with a certain elegance added with a bit of fun.

La Piccola bakery.

La Piccola is a charming take-away bakery shop in the middle of the oldest part of Amsterdam, on the Nieuwmarkt, surrounded by chinese restaurants, bars, and a small market, and where many tourists pass every day.

The brief was to create a place reminiscent of shops from around the fin-de-siècle in cities like Paris, Buenos Aires and Rome, selling sweets, ice creams and pastries.

Designing an elegant and sexy private space.

In the open and connected world of today you desperately need a sensual and private space of your own.

A selection of personal work exploring feminine personal space. Illustrations and visualisations that express a soft, sensual and cheeky feminine style.

Concept design for a friendly fitting area.

A fitting room should provide a sense of luxury, sensuality and intimacy. Behind the curtain it is a safe place, a boudoir, with all essentials provided for. And emerging from the fitting room, the space is a shared one. A public space where a sense of intimacy is still key to the concept, yet it is shared by other customers and their friends.

This is a design for fittingrooms that are both stylish and intimate, with a place to change, share and interact with friends and other shoppers.

A new look for a meetingroom.

The Regenboog’s meetingroom and workspaces needed a make-over, a friendly but professional look, to be functional and moreover: comfortable and pleasant.

The rooms were fitted out in Cole&Son wallpapers in a neutral colour scheme, combining the whimsical with modern design.
